THERE ARE AT LEAST FOUR GAS STATIONS WITHIN A MILE STRETCH OF NASHUA ROAD, BUT TWO OF THEM STAND OUT BECAUSE THEY ARE KEEPING THE PRICES LOW. >>EPING THE PRICES LOW. I WORK OVER IN ANDOVER, SON OMY WAOVERY THERE I JUST JUMPED RIGHT OFF THE HIGHWAY AND CAME HERE BECAUSE IT WAS SUPER CHEAP. ALIS:SA MOST PELEOP ARE GETTING USED TO PAYING AT LEAST $4 PER GALLON AT THE PUMP. SO WHEN THEY COME ACROSS SOMETHING CHEAPER, THEY HIT THE BRAKES. >> RIGHT N, OWI HAVEN’T ENEV BEEN FILLING UP. I’VE HONESTLY BEEN PUTTING LIKE $40 IN, LETTING THAT LIGHT SHINE AND TRYING TO GET AS FAR AIS CAN ON THAT. Drivers say they'll go out of their way for cheaper gasoline

With gas prices rising dramatically in recent weeks, some New Hampshire gas stations are now attracting customers with lower prices.According to AAA, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in New Hampshire is $4.14. But Nutfield Petroleum on Nashua Road in Londonderry was selling gas Friday for $3.59 per gallon. The station is one of two on the road with unusually low prices."I actually saw someone post it on Facebook this morning," said driver Shannon Haggerty. "One of my Facebook friends posted it, and I was like, 'Oh my gosh.' I work over in Andover, so on my way over there, I just jumped right off the highway and came here because it was super cheap."Most people in New Hampshire are getting used to paying at least $4 per gallon at the pump. When they come across something cheaper, they hit the brakes. "Right now, I haven't even been filling up," said driver Clara Donovan. "I've honestly been putting like 40 bucks in, letting that light shine and trying to get as far as I can on that."Other drivers said the pandemic has put a strain on their pockets and their businesses."I mean, we have three vehicles, and keeping them all on the road is very expensive," said driver George Finn. "Especially with COVID hopefully ending. It was a tough time."Drivers said they wanted to take advantage of the prices before they change."I probably get, like, 30 bucks twice a week, and that doesn't even fill up my tank, so when I can come here and fill up, it really helps," Haggerty said.Donovan said it takes her about $90 to fill up. Even though she lives about 15 minutes away from the station, she said she's willing to make the drive and is spreading the word."I'm taking pictures of it: 'This is where we're going,'" she said.Finn is happy to see the prices dropping, and he said he hopes the gas station owners appreciate the extra business."I think it's going to be one of those things where certain gas stations are going to battle other gas stations," he said.
