Does anyone else have a love-hate relationship with Python? 🐍 When I don’t use it, even for a few days, my brain hits the “data dump” button and I’m back to square one. 📉 But when it comes to SQL? I could probably almost write queries in my sleep. 💤💾Any tips on how to keep this knowledge fresh? I’m all ears! 🎧 Whether it’s regular practice, ideas for small projects, or creative ways – drop your suggestions below! 👇 #datascience #python #sql #learningcurve #techstruggles

A quote I recently heard that has stuck with me is, “Some people get twenty years of experience, while others get one year of experience… twenty times in a row.” Every day is an opportunity to grow, learn, and become a better version of ourselves. It isn’t about the drastic changes; it’s about small, consistent efforts that lead to significant transformations. Here are a few things I’m doing to be better:📚 Reading more. Currently reading “The Coddling of the American Mind.”🛠 Learning new skills. Having finished my bachelor’s degree, I have been using resources like Mimo, Coursera, and Cybrary to continue learning.✍ Setting goals and creating actionable plans to achieve them.🏋♀️ Staying active. Getting back into a gym routine to boost physical and mental health.Self-improvement is a personal process and unique for everything. What matters is taking the steps and staying committed. What are you doing to improve yourself? 💪

Particularly from classmates while finishing my degree but even now, I sometimes get contacted by people who are seeking a career in the Intelligence Community or intelligence field in general. My top advice? 🔍 Education helps. Having or pursuing a degree in a relevant field like international relations, intelligence studies, or cybersecurity will make you an even greater asset. 🛠 Develop key skills. Hone your analytical and critical thinking skills. Proficiency in a foreign language or technological literacy can also be very valuable. 🌎 Gain experience. Internships or relevant job experiences can give you more insight and a competitive edge. 📚 Stay informed. Keep up with global events, geopolitical trends, and technology. The landscape is ever-changing and it is crucial to keep up. 🤝 Network. Build connections with other professionals. Attend conferences, engage in online communities, keep learning and growing. 🔐 Security clearance. Often the most challenging piece is the clearance. Be aware of the requirements for your desired role. What advice would you add? 🌏🔎 #careeradvice #professionaldevelopment #intelligence #networking

For anyone navigating their career and the #GreenBannerGang, here are some of the most important tips I have learned about resumes: 🎯 Research the format and length norms for your target industry and adjust your resume accordingly. What might be appealing to the marketing or design world may not be to finance or law. That being said…👏 Reach out to professionals in your target industry! Get insight and if they’re willing, a resume review. Build that network!🔑 Keywords matter. Many companies are using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) now to screen resumes. To help get past them, make sure you have relevant keywords.👍 Stay positive. Job searching these days can be challenging, but don’t get discouraged. Keep refining your resume, seeking feedback, and learning. What resume tips would you share? Let’s hear ‘em! 👇 #jobsearch #resumetips

I spent the last three days with Team Rubicon on Operation Electric Donkey in Teller County, CO. 🌲 Our mission was fire risk mitigation and we worked to create a fuel break in a high risk area. It’s amazing to experience how much volunteers and communities can accomplish with some teamwork. 💪🏼 It was hard work, but this view was definitely worth the short break from SCIF life. 🙃

The most helpful thing I have learned in my current position is managing time effectively. Having been working full time and a full-time student for the last two years, solid time management has been a game-changer! Some tips I have found helpful:📜 Prioritize with a To-Do List. List tasks in order of importance and tackle the high-priority items first.🍅 Try the Pomodoro technique. Work for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break. Repeat four times, then take a longer break.📅 Use time blocking (my favorite!). Allocate specific time slots for different tasks.📉 Limit distractions. Have a dedicated workspace.🔄 Review and adjust. Regularly assess your strategies and adjust as needed. What techniques do you use for time management?#timemanagement #worksmart #productivity

Something I have noticed over the last several years is that WHO you know can be just as important as WHAT you know. 💯 Be genuine. Approach networking to build relationships, not just for immediate gains. (no, I do not need a financial advisor right now, but thank you 👀😂)🏃♀️ Be active. Attend industry events, join groups, and participate in discussions.🤝 Be helpful. Offer assistance and expertise when you can. Networking is a two-way street.🔄 Be consistent. Keep in touch, not just when you need something. Remember, your network is one of your greatest assets – invest in it wisely. 🦉 #networking #professionalgrowth
